Serves 6 people

Preheat oven to 370 degrees.

Cook noodles according to package directions until al dente. Set aside.

Fry the bacon until crisp reserving the bacon drippings. When bacon is finished cooking chop into small bacon bits.


Heat the reserved bacon grease over medium heat and when hot add the sugar stirring to dissolve.

Add the cabbage and cook until the cabbage wilts slightly but still crunchy.

Add the noodles,bacon bits, salt and pepper to the pan stirring to incorporate and coat.


Remove from the heat and add to a greased casserole dish and heat in the oven for 20 minutes.

Remove and dollop with sour cream and sprinkle with paprika.

Return it to the oven for 5 minutes until the sour cream starts to soften.

Serve immediately.
